Lucknow: In a significant move towards the expansion of higher education in Uttar Pradesh, IIMT University, Meerut, is set to establish a remote campus in Greater Noida. In this regard, Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay presented a Letter of Intent to the university’s founder, Yogesh Mohan Gupta. This decision has been made under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019 (as amended), marking a crucial step towards strengthening higher education resources in the state.

The Higher Education Minister emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government is prioritizing reforms and innovations in higher education. He stated that new academic policies and schemes are being introduced to promote premier institutions in the state, aiming to make Uttar Pradesh a hub of education at both national and international levels. The establishment of IIMT University’s new campus in Greater Noida is expected to elevate the standard of education in the state, providing students with access to state-of-the-art facilities and quality higher education. This will be the second remote campus in Uttar Pradesh, with the first one being established at GLA University, Greater Noida.

Expressing gratitude to the state government, IIMT University’s founder, Yogesh Mohan Gupta, assured that the new campus would promote high-quality education and research. He reiterated the university’s commitment to equipping students with modern technological skills and industry-relevant education.

The event was attended by Principal Secretary M.P. Agrawal, Special Secretary Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, and Shipu Giri, among others.
